We are seeking a highly motivated Group Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Head of Group Accounting in overseeing the financial reporting of the Group across the company’s various divisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the right hand to the Head of Group Accounting in ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS or GAAP
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of consolidated financial statements for the entire group
- Help oversee the implementation of standardized accounting policies and procedures across all business units
- Support the management of monthly, quarterly, and annual group closing processes
- Ensure compliance with local, country, and international financial and tax regulations
- Work closely with external auditors to manage audits and ensure findings are addressed
- Collaborate with CFOs in Group companies to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting
- Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting systems and controls to enhance financial reporting
- Provide training and support to accounting teams across the company to ensure best practices in accounting are followed consistently
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- A relevant professional certification (e.g., chartered accountant, ACCA) is highly desirable
- Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably within a group or multi-divisional setting. Experience from an audit firm is also highly valued
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and best practices
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software, especially consolidation tools
- An analytical mind with a strategic approach combined with an attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal collaboration skills
- Proficient in English. Knowledge of a Scandinavian language and/or German is an advantage
