Are you our new Group CFO?
On behalf of Melbye Group, we are seeking a relationship-oriented and business-driven Group CFO with a doer mentality. Melbye Group is a family-owned leader in critical sustainable infrastructure solutions for the energy, telecom, and installation sectors, operating across the Nordics and UK. The company is expecting strong growth, and the finance function plays a central role in this development, both in terms of capturing new market positions, organic growth, and through acquisitions.
Group CFO will be responsible for monitoring the financial performance and challenging the performance of the business units as well as driving strategic planning, business reviews and development. Further being a valuable sparring partner for the Group CEO and the rest of the management and other group functions.
As Group CFO you will:
- Be responsible for financial performance, driving strategic planning and business reviews, as well as ensure good communication and goal achievement
- Lead and execute upon financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and M&A activities
- Provide financial insights in data driven decision-making and be a key partner to the Group CEO and management team
- Ensure timely, high-quality financial reporting and KPI tracking as well as lead/initiate execution of group relevant improvements
- Responsible for liquidity management and cost control for the group and legal entities
- Drive the consolidation of business processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency across the group
- Together with top management and group co-workers identify M&A candidates and secure structural growth. Lead financial acquisition processes, due diligence and valuation as well as integration processes from function
Qualifications and personal skills:
- Master’s degree in Business/Finance with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Top management experience, preferably in international CFO roles within industrial B2B sales or management consulting roles
- Solid experience with financial modelling, reporting and business case analysis
- Proficient in Power BI, Excel, AI tools, and ERP systems (especially MS Dynamics)
- Solid valuation, due diligence and acquisition competence as well as contract negotiation skills
- Analytical and strategic mindset and ability to develop and execute group strategic agenda and action plans
- Strong communication skills, oral and written, in Norwegian/Swedish and English
- Identify and address risks before they become critical
- A passion for sustainability and technological advancement of our working processes
- Team player with abilities to see possibilities where others see challenges
- Lead by example and be a good role model
